This course is to provide the diver with a working knowledge of the theory, methods, and procedures of planned staged-decompression diving while using optimal breathing gas mixtures. Students will plan and conduct a standard staged decompression dive not exceeding a maximum depth of 130 feet (40 m). Course topics include equipment requirements, team requirements, NTEC configurations, decompression breathing gas mixtures (oxygen and EANx), and decompression techniques.
